Hi Beauties!
Okay this post is way different than the normal posts I usually do but I think its essential to understand the basics of getting the correct bra for yourself. As it has been researched that 80% of the female population wears the wrong sized bra and in a country like ours where there are no professional bra fittings or bra experts to guide us and neither our mothers being very open about intimate wears, I decided to put up this post. All the information in this post has been searched from the internet and explained in steps.
80% is a huge number which means you and I can fall in this percentage as well. Wearing the wrong bra size does not only mean being uncomfortable, it also means you looking less hot and sexy. So why kill your own beauty with wearing the wrong bra and making yourself uncomfortable while all you have to do is find the right size for yourself. Don't know how to? This post is going to help you do so. Just keep reading and sit tight...

Never take your bra for granted. Just learn to do a little math and you are good to go.
Step 1:
First step is finding your band size. Use a soft measuring tape and measure all around your body, placing the tape right beneath your breasts. Do not measure too tight and not too loose. Band size is what gives support to your bust.

If you do not measure exactly to an inch, round up to the next number. If you end up with an exact round number like 30, add four to this number, which results in 34. So 34 is your band size. If its 30 1/2 add five to to this number which results in 36 being your band size. Same goes for the odd number like if its 31 add five to it resulting in 36 being the band size.
Step 2:
In this part you will measure the fullest part of your bust. Measure around the fullest part of your bust across the nipples without pulling tight. Make sure the tape goes around the entire back just like when you measured for the band size.

Suppose your measurement for bust size came out to be 32.
Step 3:
Now subtract Band size from bust size to get a number for the bust size (34 - 32) = 2. Follow the table below to find your correct cup size. In this case B is the correct cup size.

Tips:
1. You should be able to insert one to two fingers in your band while wearing the bra and no more. This means your bra size is correct and comfortable enough not to leave marks on your body.

2. The perfect way to check your bra for a fit is to try it under a T-shirt and examine it from every angle. If it settles smoothly under the T-shirt, it means you have the right bra for yourself.

i was waiting for a pakistani blogger to make a post about this and you did it i wanna say thank you! most women don't even know about it, my own mom never told me about how a bra fits, sizes etc. but the method you posted is the old one,you are NOT supposed to add extra 4/5/6 inches to your band, thats the old crappy method used when bras were made differently but don't go with this. i did a lot of googleing and found this reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits it has EVERYTHING you need to know about bra fitting. check it out!! here's there measuring guide http://i.imgur.com/tgrX4zO.png and here you can find out your own size http://www.brasizecalculator.tk/

Thank you criska, Also thank you for sharing the links about the other posts , very helpful of you. Its just the start from my side, there are more such posts to come from time to time. For a start i wanted to keep it simple and easy to grasp as there are so many youngsters who are lost and remain lost, I found this traditional method easier to follow and understand but yes i will surely post about more methods and other tips too. Thank you for the support <3
DeleteAdding the additional inches to your underbust is actually wrong, that method is dated and was for corsets back many years ago. If it measures 30 inches, your band size should be 30 inches.
