Here is a fun post for you girls. I am going to share my first ever experience with fimo canes. This post is for all those who fail in their first attempts, be it at applying fimo canes or creating an eye look or a flawless makeup application. Its ok if you do not do well the first time. It requires time and practice to improve so do not lose hope and be a little patient. So here is my first goofy attempt to putting on fimos on my nails :)

Here is what I used:

1. A nail color to serve as a base coat. Im using Sally Hansen French shell shimmer in natural color. It has shimmer particles and gives out a very natural shimmery glow to the nails.

OMG posts are a new addition in my blog. Yes you are right OMG means Oh my God! and when I shall do an OMG post it would imply that I am totally taken by the product. The product has worked for me miraculously. So this happens to be my first OMG post and its on a hair removing product. Lets see what all this is about...

When I went for grocery shopping this time to Hyperstar I felt like giving this product a try. I had seen it so many times before but never thought of giving it a look even. But this time I read the detail written on the back of the pack and thought of giving it a try.

Its a roll on wax from a famous brand Nair. They are usually known for their depilatory creams and wax strips. This roll on wax is another innovative product which I have given a try for the very first time. It comes in a plastic packing with one roll on wax, 15 sheets and an instruction leaflet. The wax content is 100 ml.

To use it, twist off the white lid and unscrew it. The mouth is corked with this plastic lid. Take out this lid but do not throw it away. Screw the roll lid again and wait for a while for the wax to flow into the roller. Its a lot better to warm the wax a little. I warmed it up for 20 seconds in the micro wave so that the it can roll out smoothly from the roller.

Roll the roller on the desired area in the direction of the hair. A thin layer of clear wax shall cover the area. Apply a sheet, rub the sheet with your hand once or twice and pull it off in the opposite direction of the hair. Tadaaaa..... Hellooo to the clean, smooth skin. All unwanted hair gone!

If you look at the picture below you'll see that the plastic case acts as a tray for the roller. Place the roller like shown in the picture so that the wax stays into the roller and does not move back if laid on a flat surface. Otherwise every time you will have to wait for the wax to flow down into the roller. And don't worry the wax does not leak out on its own into the tray at all.

Once you are done with waxing place back the lid and put the roller into the tray for later use. This is all about how the roller works and what it does. Now is the time to give my verdict on it....

I'd say I am totally blown away by this product. It is super awesome. It totally lives up to what its supposed to do. Its way beyond what I had expected out of it. When I pulled the strip and saw my smooth clean skin I was OMG! :o it actually worked. Since I am hairy and my hair growth is fast I tend to keep an eye on diverse hair removal methods. Waxing so far is the most suitable to me. But this Nair roll on wax I'd say is the most convenient thing I have ever come across. No messy and sticky hands and surfaces. Its clean and quick and does the job well even for my thick rooted hair.

This product cost me Rs. 565 from Hyperstar. The only issue I have from this thing is that as compared to the quantity its a little high priced. I mean Rs. 565 for 100 ml? They must come up with some refill wax or somthing. Though I have not tried it yet but I think I shall try pouring in the wax I normally use and see if it still works. Another plus for this wax is that it smeels really nice and fruity and even after washing the skin the light fruity fragrance lingers on. I am rating this product 4.7/5 and would totally buy it again and would recommend everyone else to buy it too.

With all these Oriflame promotions going on its hardly unlikely that anyone is unaware of their Pure color lipsticks. No doubt these are the most affordable lipsticks and that too with quality. But the thing that pops in mind is, they being so cheap and affordable, are they even worth buying? Can a lipstick at this price be of quality? Stay with me to find out...

 

I am NOT an Oriflame consultant. I skim through the online catalogues and in case I like something I just go to their head office and get myself whatever I want. I already possess 2 Pure color lipsticks, one in vintage nude and the other in vintage rose. It was now time to try out a pink shade and the most pinkish true pink color was Desert Rose. I got this for Rs. 159 from the oriflame office here in Lahore.

Oriflame Pure color lipsticks come in black plastic body with a transparent cap with Oriflame written on it. The lipstick itself is quite light weight. One can hardly notice the weight of it in fingers as it weighs 4gms.

This is the color of lipstick. Its a nice fresh pink color with a light purple undertone to it just like Medora 555 Angel Pink but its more pink and less purple. You can see my review of Medora Angel Pink here. I forgot to swatch it on my hand but here is how it looks on my lips.

Jeez, Face book is flooded with pages selling jewellery, clothes and nail art items. No? It sometimes gets difficult to distinguish from where to buy and where not to buy. I seriously get confused! However a good customer never forgets the place where he/she has been treated with due respect and high quality services. Same is the case with JMC. I had ordered from her before and ordered again to her because of her professional behaviour. Anyways, I used to watch her page full of so many nail art items, pet accessories, jewellery items and many mix accessories. Finally I ordered a few things from her.

Nail art stamping plate, a scrapper and a stamper. All these at the most reasonable rates as compared to all other pages I have come across so far.

 

A bracelet, ring, kitty pendant and a peacock pendant. The quality is so good and they look so cute that I have got so many praises on wearing these. In fact my female colleagues have decided to order for themselves too.

 

Today's post is about a local brand available all over the country and is easily accessible. Even our Moms, I am sure are fully aware of this brand. After all this is one of the brands which was widely used in their times and is still famous among the areas where people do not have access to well established markets. Girls, I am talking about Medora of London. Somehow I also own 2 lipsticks of this brand and going to review them for you.

I got myself the 2 colors I normally use i.e. pink and caramel shade. I don't know why but I always end up buying these two shades whenever I hunt for lipsticks or lip glosses. I just do not experiment with brighter shades, makes me feel uncomfortable wearing bright flashy shades on my lips.

Medora lipsticks are of two kinds I think. One is the matte kind that I have got and the other one is the glossy kind. I couldnt find any good suitable color of my choice in the glossy ones otherwise I would have definitely got myself the glossy Medora lipsticks. Medora lipsticks come in grey cardboard box just like the color of the outer body of the lipstick. Unfortunately I threw away the cover boxes of these so do not have pictures to show you. The brown shade is named SISS and number is 231 while the pink one is ANGEL PINK in number 555. Thank God at least Medora named their lipsticks because they have not named their nail colors and it gets impossible to remember the shade numbers.

This is how the colors look like. I swatched them both on my hand. Sometimes it gets impossible to judge a color by its swatch on hand. It has happened several times with me that a lipstick shade which looked good on the hand looked equally awful when applied on lips especially the coral shades. I seriously have stopped looking for coral shade lipsticks for myself :(

I know I got myself matte lipsticks but I feel they are literally matte. I really have to swipe the lipstick three four times on my lips to get the color. Siss gives out a really matte look and might need a hint of clear lip gloss for some shine if you are into glossy or shiny lips. Angel pink however is fine maybe due to the bright color or chemical formulation. I think Siss might not be the color for everyone. Its a kind of shade that really neutralizes your face and might not suit people with dark complexions. Even I felt like a zombie initially :p so be sure to check it out before giving it a try. Angel pink is a nice lively pink shade with purple undertone and instantly brightens up the face. Due to the matte texture of the lipsticks they really stay long on the lips and do not disappear all that easily. Medora lipsticks cost Rs. 80 or Rs. 85 and are really affordable. They are easily available all across the country and you can find them at almost all departmental and cosmetic stores. I wuld give them 4/5 and like the colors I have got for myself. They have a variety of other shades too. Check them out.

The most views I get on my blog on daily basis is on Medora products. I am amzaed to see the trend because I never expected Medora to be such a widely googled product. Since I own some products by Medora I though why not do some posts on it as well. Medora is a locally manufactured Pakistani brand which is widely known for its nail colors. I remember when I was a kid Medora was quite popular since access to international brands was not this convenient and there was no internet to google even. Medora has a wide range of lipstick colors too and are very affordable and economical.

I do not exactly recall form where I purchased this nail color however I remember when I saw this shade I instantly felt like buying it. Its a light sheer silver color but the good part is it gives a hint of blue and green depending where the light hits the nails. It is not a holographic color but still it gives out dual shades, sometimes of blue and sometimes of green with silver base.

So ladies this is my first sleek product..... looks amazing doesn't it?  I could not find anything similar to this product on the sleek website so just figured that maybe it was a limited edition thing or has been discontinued for some reason. Well it turns out the product was discontinued and they no longer sell it. I don't know how it ended up on the shelves here as Sleek isn't available locally. Using MAC cosmetics is the dream of every girl who knows about MAC and understands its worth. Same is the case with me I am also one of those girls. I am using MAC here but the catch is its a replica not the original MAC. However knowing that I am using a branded copy is somewhat soothing psychologically just like the psych research says. So this is the compact duo blush I am bragging about.

I am back with another nail color review. Sorry for the crappy quality of the pictures. I took them in a real rush right before leaving for work in the morning so they are not that clear as I expected them to be. But I guess they would serve the purpose. This is my first holographic nail color and I got my hands on this one by chance. By the cap of the bottle its looks like a plain old purple color but it is not! Read further to find out....

I am back with another haul post and I know how much fun it is to read about hauls. Its such a wonderful feeling to see new products or see someone buying the products you already are using. I was looking at Oriflame promotions for like a month now and was planning what to buy, finally I made my trip to Oriflame office. I went once before like two weeks back, but there I came to know they have relocated to a new location. It took me some searching to find out their new location but it was worth the wait. Lets not keep you waiting anymore, here is what I got myself.

I have another nail post today and that too by my recent favorite brand 'Essence'. I went to Al Fatah to get myself something random to treat my retail therapy and I chose a bright blue shade but when I got home this is the shade that came out of my shopping bag. Initially I was a little disappointed but when I applied it on my nails I kinda liked it. Its a nice greeny summery shade.

Blog sales are really on these days. I have seen so many blogs conducting sale now a days. I love these sales. There is nothing more fun than trying new makeup products that too on affordable and reasonable prices. I am aware of the harms of sharing makeup products but one can always disinfect them before using. That is my own opinion and I respect the fact if your views differ.
