I have been eyeing the Benefit They're real push up liner for a long time. Since I had heard and read great reviews about the mascara, I was hoping high for the eye liner as well. The unique style and idea was also irking me to give it a try. I personally do not consider Benefit a drug store brand, for the price, its a luxury brand to me. So I wanted to be really sure about the eye liner before opting to buy it. Thanks to the recent Makeup exhibition arranged by Facebook store Makeup 4 U, I bought a sample set containing they're real push up liner and mascara. I am reviewing the liner today in the hope this review will help many others like me deciding whether they want to invest money in this eye liner or not. Let's begin.

If you are a Lahorie, a makeup junkie and have not attended the recent makeup exhibition conducted by Makeup 4 U yesterday, then you surely do not qualify to be labelled as a makeup junkie. You seriously missed it woman. It was THE event and something not to be missed. Oh well you missed it while we got lucky and treated ourselves to all the makeup brands one could have thought of. Here is my coverage of the event along with the purchases I made. 

I love my skin. It usually does not give me a tough time. I have a neat and acne free skin with a few open pores on the cheek area. Other than that I do not find any such problems with my skin. It usually gets dry in the Winter season and the T-zone gets super oily in Summers. Sensitivity is also not an issue and I get to experiment a lot with my skin. Mashallah! During the Summers, I had a tough time making my skin behave. I used to get an unclean feeling even after washing my face as if the skin was not thoroughly clean and my pores could not breathe. I have always admired Garnier skin care products as they have shown good results on my skin. It was time to try a new face scrub. With Winters around, new trends and collections are making appearance in the stores. Essence Pakistan has also introduced its latest Winter collection for 2015. The range includes dark shades of nail colors, smokey eye pencils and kohl liners perfect for creating smokey eye effect, liquid and sheer lipsticks, eye palettes, matte blush ons, foundation and pressed powder. Some wishes come true in the best possible way. I have been eyeing Tarte CC parkave princess colored clay bronzer blush for a really long time now, almost 6 months but no one had it in stock and I was too lazy to pre order it. Then the best thing happened, I saw it on special deals at The Brand Hub on such a mind blowing economical price, I ordered it so quickly that my fingers were shaking while placing the order with fear that someone else might reserve it before me. I know its sounds like such an exaggerated event but trust me it happens to the best of us beauty bloggers and make up hoarders.

Collaborating with LUMS Dramaline Society and two of the biggest names of the beauty industry, Redah Misbah, owner of Depilex Group and Shammal Qureshi, owner of Toni & Guy, BeautyHooked.com brought to the audience, the first ever beauty event in LUMS that included a live make over within minutes.

With each passing day, as I am getting older, I believe I am also getting wiser. Beauty blogging has matured me in many ways when it comes to taking care of my skin. Nonetheless, I am a human and also a very lazy one. So there are days when I skip my beauty regimen for days, sometimes even weeks due to busy routine. Here is where Bioderma steps in. Almost 2 months back I was contacted by a new British skin care brand to try out their new face mask. Off course I said yes, and after some weeks I received a nice package containing my face mask. As we are slowly drifting towards the Winter season, frosty and vibrant is becoming a fast favorite. Essence keeping that in mind has also brought the Cinderella collection to Pakistan, which is inspired by the dark Cinderella movie released in March 2015. The makeup collection has rekindled love with Cinderella all over again. I purchased 3 items out of the Cinderella collection which I have completely fallen in love with. I must say, Essence has become more proficient at bringing in new collections well in time. After "The Road Trip" collection, this Eid, Essence launched its "Ready for Boarding" collection, which comprises of a makeup pouch, nail polishes in pastel colors, luggage tag, 2 shades of blushes, wet wipes and an eye shadow palette. I am addictive to the new trends by Essence and have to get some items from each collection. It has become more of a hobby I suppose. With salary in hand and celebrations of Eid, I indulged myself to a treat and bought the following items from Essence's new range.

Every other day we read about harmful chemicals used in makeup products and how they breed diseases in humans. So many medical cases have sprung forward where the use of makeup has led to harm to human bodies. Be it in the form of allergies or resulting in surgeries. As a result more and more research is being conducted to make cosmetics chemical free and organic as much as possible. As a Muslim, we also need to ensure there are no haram products in the cosmetics we consume. There is a widespread concept that intake of haram items is not allowed in the form of eatables. Its true we do not eat make up but in any case we expose ourselves to haram ingredients by using them. For example, there are certain lipsticks we use, they contain crushed beetles of a particular kind, no matter how much we prevent, I am sure there is a certain intake of lipstick into our system by unconscious licking or biting the lips. Similarly the makeup applied onto the skin absorbs into our pores and thats how the harmful chemicals make their way into our system.

Summer is a great season to put all those face washes and cleansers to a test to see which one comes out victorious. My latest craze this Summer has been to try different face cleansers. Along with several others, under the test was Clean & Clear's fruit essentials face cleanser in energizing berry as I had read really rave reviews about this product. How did it perform for me? I have always been fascinated with Sigma products since the moment I began blogging. Back then, access to Sigma products was not as easy as it is now, thanks to the numerous online makeup stores and also my credit card for making it possible for me. I do not have a large Sigma collection other than a few brushes and recently some eye shadows. But whatever I have used so far, I appreciate the quality that comes with Sigma. So for the first time, I got my hands on the very famous Ipsy glam bags. I ordered mine from Infinity. I had not ordered it earlier, she had it in stock and I just happened to buy it. It appears I am finally beginning to clear my back log of posts. There are so many products that need to be reviewed, the posts are just lying in my drafts folder and I am too lazy to give the final touches and complete them. Sigma flare palette just got lucky today to finally get out of my drafts folder and make its presence to soon to be published posts. I haven't had the chance to try many Sigma products. In fact my collection is quite limited when it comes to Sigma but lemme say, Sigma comes with the most amazing pigmentation for many of its products. The beauty blogoshpere is full of reviews on the Flare palette but still I would like to add my 2 cents as well. 

Body shop's sweet lemon shower gel is simply superb. Body shop makes amazing body butters and shower gels. I am so glad I got the chance to try this one. Read my review further.

Its been really long that I have not posted anything on under garments but that does not mean I have forgotten about this aspect of my blog. I have received mixed reviews on such posts of mine. The best time to test and judge the performance of an eye liner is during Summers, especially during the Monsoon season. Today I am reviewing the highly acclaimed and much popular Mask of Magnaminty by Lush. I have read real fantastic reviews about this product and many beauty bloggers and people with acne prone skin swear by this product. I also bought it under the impression that it certainly is a worthy trying product considering our weather. Frankly, I have a love/hate relationship with this mask, which I would explain further in my post.

The service is totally booked for the year with no empty spot left. This box happens to be my last one as I could not continue the service due to my unemployed status for the time being. Here is what I received in the most talked about local subscription, ST Effects Beauty Box, for the month May 2015. This time, instead of the statement ST effects box, I received my items in a jewllery display box. The items being fragile were packed in the tight jewellery box for transition purposes. The ST effects box was due to be sent with the next one. 

This post is quite late but here is what I received in my Glam bag for the month of May. The pouch is same in size as it was last month. The only change this time around is in the design. This time, its a checkered pattern which reminds me of Burberry coats and shawls. 

Halal Makeup is becoming quite the trend now and is gaining popularity among the Muslim women massively. Almost 2 months back I received the privilege to attend the launch party of newly launched Halal makeup range by the very famous and well recognized Masarrat Misbah. She is one of the pioneers and trend setters in the makeup industry of Pakistan. I remember growing up to the one well-known salon name; Depilex. Not limited to just makeup industry she is an active philanthropist who has her own organization to help female victims of acid attacks by housing them, training them and enabling them to be a part of the community again. It is much to my pleasure to know that she has launched her own makeup brand in Pakistan that too a halal one by the name of Masarrat Misbah, (MM). Here are some shots from the launch party. Primers have become very popular in the beauty industry. There was a time when the term primer was unheard of but now makeup application can not begin without the use of a primer. As you all know, I love shopping and also I love shopping online. I had been on the look out for nice wedges for some time and was really inspired by Kate Middleton's wedges that she wore once. It seems I have been away from blogging for real long. I keep on having this writer's block from time to time and also I am guilty of juggling my work and blog at the same time, which usually results in my blog being neglected. Since I am out of work for now and have nothing much to occupy me with, I am hoping to be much regular with blogging. Today's post is about my horrendous experience with awful dandruff I got suddenly this past Winter season and how managed to get rid of it eventually.
