Body shop's sweet lemon shower gel is simply superb. Body shop makes amazing body butters and shower gels. I am so glad I got the chance to try this one. Read my review further.

Sweet lemon shower gel comes in a 250 ml plastic bottle with a pop open lid that allows complete control over the flow of the product. 250 ml is a lot of product considering only small amount is required. The one I have is travel sized with 60 ml product content and very convenient for carrying in bags. I like the idea of carrying it since its a much better option than soap. Its hard to place wet lathery soap in bag compared to a bottled shower gel. Serves the purpose of hand wash as well in case you make a pit stop somewhere.

Its gel like but with a slightly runny consistency. In the bottle the gel is visibly lemon colored but on the hands the color is hardly visible. It has a rich citrus like smell which can be over whelming. Thankfully its not awful like a lemon dish cleaning product. Its smells like synthetic fruity lemon. I'm not sure if my explanation makes any sense :p

Usage:

I would recommend using a loofah or scrub gloves for this gel. Its a non soapy formula which lathers best with the help of loofah or gloves. You can also apply it directly on the body but that would require more product and also wont lather well. A little amount of gel on the loofah foams very well and would also help you exfoliate your body. Since small amount is required, the gel would last a long time.

I am not much of a fan of citrus fragrances but I admit, I really like the gel in terms of performance. It foams very well on my loofah and moisturizes my body fully. I have a dry to combination skin, apart from my face, my body skin stays dry even in Summers. By using sweet lemon shower gel for my bath, I can skip the body butter or lotion since it moisturizes my skin really well. It leaves my skin smooth and fresh and the citrus like smell lasts for almost 2 hours. If you really like the citrus fragrance, you can build it up with another layer of sweet lemon body butter. In this case, I would recommend opting for the sweet lemon travel set which contains shower gel, body butter, loofah and an exfoliant.

Since I have the complete sweet lemon set which was priced at Rs. 2200 when I got it, I can not quote a price for 50 ml bottle as it isn't available for sale individually. However 250 ml sized bottle is priced at Rs. 1290 and can be purchased from Body shop outlets or from just4girls online.

Recommendation:

I completely vouch for this product solely for its moisturizing capabilities. Its equally good to be used in Summers and Winter, though you might wanna add the body butter for extra moisturizing in Winter.
