|Empties|: September Empties: A Farewell to Budget Picks and Beauty Staples

7:56 PM

Hello, beauty enthusiasts! As September bids us adieu, it's time to gather around the empties bin and reminisce about the products that have seen their final pump, squeeze, or dab. From skincare staples to makeup must-haves, here are the treasures that accompanied me on my beauty journey this month.

September Empties
1. Saniderm Facial Moisturizing Cream

Uniferoz's Saniderm Facial Moisturizing Cream proved to be a budget-friendly companion. However, its performance pales in comparison to the superior Turkish brand Line - Bio Balance. It's reminiscent of the Ponds Vanishing Cream, offering hydration but leaving a noticeable residue.

A true cheap thrill, this moisturizer is friendly on the pocket but falls short in the quality department. Sometimes, you get what you pay for in the beauty realm.

2. Maybelline Dream Satin BB Cream

Maybelline's Dream Satin BB Cream boasts a liquidy formula that effortlessly blends into the skin, providing a seamless finish. However, the limited color range poses a challenge. The shade appeared darker than expected, with the lighter option veering into ghostly territory. A touch greasy, but an okay-ish formula nonetheless.

While the formula is a dream, the brand's limited color range leaves something to be desired. Finding the perfect match can be a struggle, but the results are worth the effort.

3. Byly Depil Gold Wax Strips

Byly Depil Gold Wax Strips, while good, faced tough competition from my usual go-to, Jolen. Slightly pricier and not quite matching up in performance, these strips proved that sometimes sticking to what you know is the best beauty strategy.

4. Boots Smooth Care Accelerator Cream

The perpetual dilemma of ending up with extra accelerator cream! Paired with other bleach creams, Boots Smooth Care Accelerator Cream adds that extra boost. A staple for those seeking a customized bleaching experience.

5. Essence Skin Love Sensitive Skin Mineral Powder

Essence's Skin Love Mineral Powder bids a gentle farewell to my skin. Its light touch and skin-loving formula make it a go-to for a polished finish without irritation. A true gem for those with delicate skin needs and affordable to the pocket.

6. Argan Oil for Hair

Argan oil, the elixir for my tresses, has served its purpose. Whether applied to damp or dry hair, it leaves locks feeling nourished and looking radiant. A beauty staple for those seeking hair perfection.

7. Sweet Touch Kohl Pencil

After spending thousands of rupees on high end brands, I have come to the conclusion that its not always the price that determines quality. Quality sometimes maybe achieved in a reasonable price too. Once such product that bears testament is the Sweet Touch kohl pencil. I am probably on my third pencil now and its a great kohl pencil that stays put without smudging.  Its smooth application and rich pigmentation made it a favorite for creating sultry looks.

8. Purederm Nose Pore Strips

A staple in my skincare routine, bid adieu after keeping my pores in check. An essential step for a clear black heads and white heads free nose.

9. Essence Counting stars nail file

This nail file was launched in the limited edition of Essence cosmetics back in 2017. I have used it on and off and have found Essence nail filers to be long lasting and best in terms of performance. This nail file has run its course and headed for the bin now.

10. B.O.B dual stamp eye liner

An impulse and dud purchase. The eye liner lacked pigmentation and was liquid-y with no black color and just water.

11. LES Beauty eyeliner

This eyeliner came in my Boxycharm box and funnily I have 2 of these. One of them was slightly okay-ish but this one was a complete dud. This was dry to use with little to no pigmentation and rough on the eyes.

12. Essence cuticle oil pen

This was very convenient to use and great for the nail beds.

13. Loreal Paris Excellence hair conditioner

This conditioner comes in Loreal Paris box dyes and is by far the best condition I have come across for bleached and dyed hair. I wonder when Loreal will start marketing it as a separate product.

As these beauty companions find their way into the bin, I'm ready to embrace the new discoveries and favorites that October holds. Until then, here's to a radiant and makeup-filled journey! Stay healthy and beautiful. xoxo!!!
