OMG: Rivaaj Duo Fibre Stippling Brush

12:12 PM

Hi Beauties!

I think this happens to be my first review on a makeup brush and quite frankly I have no idea how I am going to put into words what I feel for this brush. I got this makeup brush almost 2 years back and I would say it was an excellent buy on my part. Since this happens to be an OMG post you must have figured out I have good things to say about this brush.

I purchased this brush from RIOS Hyperstar outlet Lahore. This was their last brush in stock and I just wanted to get my hands on it after reading good reviews about stippling brushes and the need to must have them in your stash. Another choice available to me at that time was Luscious duo fibre stippling brush but I found it to be over priced so my next choice was Rivaaj brush for sure and quite frankly I found it to be the only brand having stippling brush at that time locally available.

I was personally not aware of stippling brushes or how to use them or what they did. But when I read reviews of Pakistani bloggers and some other bloggers stippling brush was the only thing I could think of to buy on priority basis. When I got my hands on this brush I was metaphorically in heaven. Since that day I have used this brush for several purposes. I have used it to apply liquid foundation, face powder and blush on.

Rivaaj R06 brush has really soft bristles. The lower half of the bristles is black while the top bristles are white. The handle is wooden and is long and sturdy. In these two years I would say maximum 5 to 6 bristles would have shed from this brush which is pretty normal.

Why I prefer this brush?

I always apply liquid foundations with this brush. The finish you get by blending foundation with the help of a brush is way different from blending with a sponge or fingers. I get a very air brushed finish out of my makeup when I use this brush for applying foundation. The application gets real smooth and the foundation spreads easily on the face and requires very small quantities. One thing to bear in mind is that its a soft bristled brush unlike Sigma F80 so do not put your liquid foundation on the brush it might sink down into the bristles base. Another important thing to remember is that you should stipple the foundation over your face with this brush which mean lightly tap the foundation all over your face. Do not swirl it. After your are done with the stippling swirl the brush to set the foundation to get a buffed and air brush finish. After blending my foundation I apply powder with the same brush at times and often blush too. The blush application gets real smooth, buff and air brushed. Now aren't all these reasons enough to praise this brush?

The only thing I did not like about this brush is that it is not strongly glued to the handle of the brush. With stipple and swirl motions the handle and the brush dettached real soon. I think Rivaaj needs to work on this part. Other than this I find the brush totally amazing.

I purchased this brush for Rs. 395 and totally recommend every girl who still does not own a stippling brush to definitely buy it. Its totally worth it. I rate it 4.5/5. Hope you liked my review. Stay healthy and beautiful. Take care!
