Hello Beautiful!

Here is my quick first impression post on July's Boxycharm. Sometimes I receive the boxes so late that it gets embarrassing to post about them. And I have my laziness partly to blame as well. Anyhow here goes... 

So, did I mention it to you guys that I have subscribed myself to Boxy charm finally, a wish I had been harboring for over 2 years now. At last I found a resource who was willing to get it to me on monthly basis with no fuss and drama involved. I have reviewed countless subscription boxes I have had access to so far, does Boxy charm live up to the hype we keep hearing and seeing? Lets find out.

Well, wow is all I can say. This is a pretty old post I have dug out from my drafts folder on Blogger and I still wish to post it since the product is still available in the market and i have most of the review already jotted down.

I am a freak when it comes to eye brow products mainly due to my non existent brows and my inferiority complex associated with it. I tend to grab any eye brow product which appeals to me or a sales person is successful at throwing in my direction. I purchased this Essence eye brow designer under the same situation.

I am into mascaras these days and trying different ones. This review was written way back but I am so slow in publishing at times. Its sometimes so hard to keep up. Winters are lethargic and I find myself struggling to write reviews. Nonetheless, I am hoping to post this one in one go. Benefit Better than sex mascara is popular globally for its amazing performance. Unfortunately I have not had the chance of trying it out as I am not really a mascara person. My barely there sparse lashes don't let me use mascaras much. Plus I am more of an eyeliner woman. But this has not stopped me from experimenting with mascaras and I do use them on special occasions.

Probably with the increasing number of mascaras in my stash, I am becoming more frequent in using them. I barely have a set of eye lashes and I try my best to avoid using mascaras fearing my barely there lashes might disappear too. Sometime back, I got the opportunity to try Oriflame's 5 in 1 wonder lash mascara and below is my take on it.

Its been a long time that I have not reviewed any mascara. Mascara isn't really my go to product for some unknown reason and isn't part of my daily makeup routine either. However I do have some mascaras in my stash for special occasions. Today my blog post focuses on Makeup Revolution's amazing volume mascara. As the name suggests "Amazing Volume", I am expecting it to add some amazing volume to my eye lashes. Lets see if it lives up to its name.

A while back a new brand made appearance in stores like Al-Fatah and Enem. I was strolling in Enem store where I saw a huge wooden case that had eye shadow quads, eye liners, compacts and lots of makeup brushes show cased. The presentation itself looked very tempting. I tested a few products on my hand and decided there and then that I have to get something from this brand. At that time, I wasn't even aware of the brand and had never heard of it earlier. Now I am just glad that I opted to buy a few worth splurging products. My today's review is on the newly launched brand "Antonym".

At the start of Winters, Essence Pakistan launched quite some products in their Winter 2015 range. Few of them being eye palettes. I haven't been much of a fan for Essence eye shadows as their quality and pigmentation was not up to my liking. Recently I got the opportunity to review one of their new palettes, "All about nudes". Its a revamped palette, originally it contained 6 shades but now it contains 8 nude shades with brown, peach and chocolate under tones. To know my take on the palette keep on reading my post.

I have been eyeing the Benefit They're real push up liner for a long time. Since I had heard and read great reviews about the mascara, I was hoping high for the eye liner as well. The unique style and idea was also irking me to give it a try. I personally do not consider Benefit a drug store brand, for the price, its a luxury brand to me. So I wanted to be really sure about the eye liner before opting to buy it. Thanks to the recent Makeup exhibition arranged by Facebook store Makeup 4 U, I bought a sample set containing they're real push up liner and mascara. I am reviewing the liner today in the hope this review will help many others like me deciding whether they want to invest money in this eye liner or not. Let's begin. 

With Winters around, new trends and collections are making appearance in the stores. Essence Pakistan has also introduced its latest Winter collection for 2015. The range includes dark shades of nail colors, smokey eye pencils and kohl liners perfect for creating smokey eye effect, liquid and sheer lipsticks, eye palettes, matte blush ons, foundation and pressed powder. I purchased a few items from the new collection as well. Find out more about the latest releases by Essence in my haul post below. 

I have already introduced my readers to PHB Ethical Beauty brand (read post here). In toady's post, I review their All in One Natural Mascara. I am very sensitive, when it comes to my eyes, especially about mascaras. Quite frankly I am very picky about them. When I was sent the PHB mascara to review, I was somewhat skeptical. Did it meet my expectation or it fell short? To know how the PHB All in One natural mascara fared for my lashes, ready my review further. 

I must say, Essence has become more proficient at bringing in new collections well in time. After "The Road Trip" collection, this Eid, Essence launched its "Ready for Boarding" collection, which comprises of a makeup pouch, nail polishes in pastel colors, luggage tag, 2 shades of blushes, wet wipes and an eye shadow palette. I am addictive to the new trends by Essence and have to get some items from each collection. It has become more of a hobby I suppose. With salary in hand and celebrations of Eid, I indulged myself to a treat and bought the following items from Essence's new range.

Every other day we read about harmful chemicals used in makeup products and how they breed diseases in humans. So many medical cases have sprung forward where the use of makeup has led to harm to human bodies. Be it in the form of allergies or resulting in surgeries. As a result more and more research is being conducted to make cosmetics chemical free and organic as much as possible. As a Muslim, we also need to ensure there are no haram products in the cosmetics we consume. There is a widespread concept that intake of haram items is not allowed in the form of eatables. Its true we do not eat make up but in any case we expose ourselves to haram ingredients by using them. For example, there are certain lipsticks we use, they contain crushed beetles of a particular kind, no matter how much we prevent, I am sure there is a certain intake of lipstick into our system by unconscious licking or biting the lips. Similarly the makeup applied onto the skin absorbs into our pores and thats how the harmful chemicals make their way into our system.
