As Eid is drawing near the concept of sharing gifts known as Eidi is at its full swing. Before I begin, let me explain a little about Eid. Just like Christmas and Easter, Muslims also celebrate two major religious events known as Eids. The first one being Eid-ul-Fitr, also known as the feast of breaking the fast, which is celebrated by Muslims globally that marks the end of Ramadan. 

My fellow beauty bloggers have also been very keen to share Eidis and one such blogger sent me some wonderful goodies to make my Eid really special and joyous. Here are some of the gifts she has sent me. 

The month has just started and I have gone crazy with shopping already. How had I been waiting for my salary to arrive so that I could indulge a little! Well here is that I purchased this time.

I am a regular follower of Essence Pakistan's Facebook page. Everyday I see a new product on their page which has been launched recently. I was so tempted to get my hands on the new stuff. See what I have purchased. 

Today I am starting a new section in my blog by the name of wasted beauty items where I would post about items that got wasted before I could even finish them off. To start off, first item is Golden Rose Grafitti nail art polish. 

I wanted this pack for like forever but just did not know how to get my hands on it. But then, thanks to Wishlist for getting me this set.

Its been a long time that I have not done any post on nails. So here in one for you. I took a break from applying nail colors so that my nails could breathe and become pink again. So two days back I did some nail art with the new stapming plate that I recently bought from JMC.

This is an XL stamping plate that has I guess 42 different stamping designs. As a complimentary gift I got nail tips. The nail tips are of 3 different styles. These are really helpful for doing a neat and tidy French tips application.Thanks to JMC for sending me this complimentary gift.

I also did a look with the new plate ;) and by the way do not forget to remove the blue plastic covering over the plate before using it. My most favorite part is removing the cover and seeing my reflection in the plate. I knw its very childish :p

 

Like I said May is officially my hauling month. I have got some more haul posts for you. Few days back I got my fourth order from JMC Nail Art. Here are the things I ordered this time.

I ordered this plate because of the skull design it had. I really liked it as it was different from all the florals normally etched on the plates. Plus its the perfect design for Halloween nail art too. The plate cost me Rs. 300.

 

Next, the kitty earings. I wanted to get them for quite sometime but I always ended up asking for them late. They were always out of stock. No wonder, they are so cute and adorable. I already have the kitty necklace which I ordered sometime back from JMC. Here is the link to that post. The earings are of excellent quality with smooth and fine finishing. The earings cost Rs. 500.

 

I ordered the Oriflame Very me no time for shine pressed powder but the ones oriflame sent to Pakistan are in this packing belonging to a different product range. Its from their Visions range. The pressed powder looks peachy. i have not tried it yet, lets see how it turns out. This pressed powder is available for Rs. 349 at JMC. However I got it for Rs. 300 only.

I originally ordered two fimos. Snce there was a buy one get one free offer going on at JMC I got two fimos free with the ones I ordered. Each fimo is for Rs. 100.

Last but not the least I got free goodies from JMC :D These are the two rings I got.

These are antique gold colored rings and are adorable. I wore them to work on Friday and got compliments from all my female collegues on the style and design. The winged one is different and a real eye catcher while the rose one is simply too cute to miss. Both the rings are adjustable and fit me perfectly. See, this is why I order from JMC, I get free goodies everytime ;) (I am just kidding) :p There is another reason too, I got a 10% discount as well on my overall order :) (I am again kidding) :p These are not the only reasons, the reason I place order with her over and over is because of her professional attitude and good quality stuff. Remember my first post on nail art stamping? No? Let me freshen up your mind then. Here is the link to the post. That was my first attempt to nail art stamping. Wasn't that great but I still am trying :) Here is another attempt I made over the long weekend. This one is also not really successful but so what? I am learning, maybe slow but at least I am trying :p

I liked two design plates on Meem's Nail Art page and ordered them instantly. These plates cost me Rs. 650, Rs. 300 for each plate and Rs. 50 as the delivery charges. I got them the very next day I ordered them.

These are the two plates I ordered. The blue color is plastic sheet coating. You need to remove this sheet in order to use the plate. Here is another attempt of nail art stamping. The yellow base has been done by Color studio professional nail color in Sunshine. The stamping has been done in green nail art stamping colors by GCOCL. I did not get the design perfectly on the nails but what the heck! I am still learning :p You can see my index finger has only got half of the design and the middle finger has it only in the middle of the nail. Oh well I am sure I'll improve with time. I intend to share my every nail art with you people so that you may also be a part of it and enjoy me goofing around with nail art :) Hope you liked my post. Drop in you comments and let me know. Something has happened to me :o I have fallen in love with nail art. Im totally blown away with the awesome nail art designs be it stickers, laces, fimos, stamping or nail tapes. I was short of few things so I hauled a little and what other place could have been better than JMC nail art . This is a quick post about what I got for myself I shall review each product later. So here is what I ordered.

I saw these really awesome nail art videos on youtube where people make these really amazing figures and designs by nail art brush and dotting tool so I thought why not give it out a try myself. So lets see what will come out by the Picasso residing in me. Soon you will see a master piece by me :p

 

This is all I ordered. The plate is for Rs. 2700, the tapes are for Rs. 100 each. The dotting tool is for Rs. 300 and the nail art brush is for Rs. 150. Below are a few things which have been sent to me by JMC as a complimentary gift. I am really really thankful to JMC for being kind enough to send me these. The gift includes a feather hair extention, multicolored micro beads and glitter. I am really excited to try out the feather hair extension and will soon be sharing a tutorial and review on it. I have mentioned the prices above for each item so that you may compare the prices yourself and witness that JMC is without doubt the most reasonable nail art services provider so far.

This is my attempt at nail stamping, a design I chose from the large plate. I took this picture after three days of application so yes I can see the tips are chipped and the stamping is not all that great. My point here is to show you that you don't have to be perfect eveytime. I seriously could not figure out the direction to stamp on my nails. You can see the stripes are in different directions on all nails :p Since I am so crazy for nail art these days I am going to practice and achieve better results in future :)

I have now decided to reign my temptations for make up shopping since I think I have got a lot of make up and must stop buying more. So these are a few things I got myself from various shops and don't think would be buying anything more this month. So lets see what I got myself this time.

Here is a fun post for you girls. I am going to share my first ever experience with fimo canes. This post is for all those who fail in their first attempts, be it at applying fimo canes or creating an eye look or a flawless makeup application. Its ok if you do not do well the first time. It requires time and practice to improve so do not lose hope and be a little patient. So here is my first goofy attempt to putting on fimos on my nails :)

Here is what I used:

1. A nail color to serve as a base coat. Im using Sally Hansen French shell shimmer in natural color. It has shimmer particles and gives out a very natural shimmery glow to the nails.

Do you see those beautiful pictures of nail art on websites and facebook and sigh that if only you had been artistic enough to do them yourself? If your answer is Yes, then I have the perfect solution for you. Today I am going to show you a very simple and basic nail art that I did myself in just 2 minutes. Here is a picture of it.

This is the first time I did a nail art so this might not look neat to you but it surely proves my point that with a little practice one can definitely do at home. These are the nail colors I used for this.

So here is what I did. Firstly I applied Essence nail color in LET'S GET LOST in # 55. I let it dry completely. Then I took Golden Rose nail art color white and made small lines which ever way I could manage easily and let it dry. You can also apply a top coat over it but since i change my nail colors on almost daily basis so I avoid taking extra time for the base coat and top coat. Easy isn't it? Now you must all be wondering how is it possible to draw such thin fine lines with those thick applicator brushes. Well here is a secret to it....

Golden Rose nail art color brushes are especially designed for nail art so you can easily draw fine lines, dots or any design of your choice. The thin long brush helps you easily position the brush and draw whatever design you want. With a little practice anyone can do nail art at home.

I got Essence and Golden Rose nail colors from Al Fateh store Liberty markets for Rs. 200 and Rs. 295. Overall I am liking the results and I think I would be buying more of Golden Rose nail art colors. They have many color varieites. I would suggest you to check them out and give your artistic skills a chance to pop out. These shatter polishes are available in several colors like pink, green, white and black. I got myself a black one only just to try out how it works. This is the result this nail colors gives out and I am sure it is similar to any other shatter polish.
