If you are a skin care conscious person, no matter what age you belong to, then you surely must have heard of two brands; The Body Shop and Lush. Both these brands are known for their eco friendly and chemical free skin care products. When I first found out about Mana Beauty & Spirit, my first impression was - "Oh, our very own Lush". Two years into using their products, I have no such impression left. Mana has their own brand vision and they are surely not copying Lush. Yes, the theme does look along the lines of Lush but it has its own league. I have used quite a lot of products from their range and today I shall be reviewing their body scrub. 

When I received my first Style Me Box, I was very excited to try its products and what better than to try the one skin care item. I used the Boots extract range coconut body scrub the very next day. How it went for me? Read my review to find out more about it.

As you all know how I love beauty subscription services, I have found another one. In fact I feel I am quite late in discovering this one. I stumbled upon this service while surfing a new beauty blog I found and with a few clicks here and there I ordered my first box. Read my review to find out more about another local subscription service in Pakistan.

Remember the frenzy when Soap & Glory had sale on their products some time back? Facebook was bombarded with pictures of Soap & Glory items and online stores were offering very competitive prices. Much of the hustle bustle was about the Next big thing set which had loads of full size items. I also fell victim to all the craze around the big sale and bought something, its tiny though compared to the next big thing but nonetheless I love it. I have always been in love with Soap and glory products. Hence to satisfy my yen, I ordered the Think Pamper set. Read further to see what items the set contains. 

Few days back I stumbled upon a Facebook page by the name of Beauty Box. I really liked the products this page is offering and the prices were so economical, less than any other page I have witnessed. Browsing through the albums I wanted to buy so many things but settled upon a few only. Here is what I purchased.

This is a much delayed post and I am sure by now you won't even remember when I purchased these products. I fianlly took out the time to pamper myself a little and tried Olive hand made cosmetic's cinubtan scrub. Read further to find out how my experience went with it. 

The mere idea of receiving gifts is enough to excite someone and make one anticipate what one would be getting as gifts. Same happened to me when PBBC's second swap was announced. The idea of this secret swap is to send fellow beauty bloggers gifts without revealing your identity. The owners of Pakistani Beauty Bloggers Community (PBBC) paired up beauty bloggers in such a way that one did not know who would be sending them gifts and the blogger had to guess who sent them. 

I am starting a new segment in my blog named as Empties. In these posts I'll be featuring the products which I have finished using in (a) particular month(s). Also some of the products may follow a short review as well just to give you an idea what my experience has been like while using those products. So lets start.

Im here with another haul post and don't ask me how I got my hands on these products. Since these are not directly available in Lahore, I had to order a few online and some I got from a shop that sells these products. Last year I saw many posts by Pakistani bloggers on Olive Handmade Cosmetics which tempted me to try them out. So here are a few things I got from Object, a shop that sells Olive Handmade products in Lahore.

Firstly I have the Cleopatra's Secret soap bar which is enriched with not only milk but oatmeal and rich moisturizing honey to soothe and pamper your skin. The bar is priced at Rs. 200.

Next is the Dead Sea Mud soap bar which claims to cleanse away oil, bacteria and dirt while infusing skin with essential minerals present only in dead sea mud.  This soap bar is also priced at Rs. 200.

This is the Mango Tango soap bar enriched with Kukui oil and a subtle mango fragrance. I don't know if this product has been discontinued or is simply out of stock as I could not find it on Olive's website. This bar is also priced at Rs. 200.

Lastly who could have missed these oils? Aren't they just cute and lovely? The packaging is just so cute that they scream to buy them. I have them in 4 different types. They come in a 30 ml glass bottle and are priced at Rs. 180. Since these were not available at Object shop I had to get these delivered by homeshopping website. 

So far I have only tried the Mango Tango soap and I can't wait to share my experience with you. Just look at all these things, they are super cute and also hand made. Hope you liked my new haul. Who does not like to pamper one's self! Sometimes pampering is all you need to feel good. Some might prefer going to spas, salons for massages and treatments. How do you indulge yourself in the luxury? I treat myself with Sanctuary's kyphi nourishing hot sugar scrub sometimes for a bath.

Kyphi Hot sugar scrub comes in a 400 ml heavy glass jar with a metallic clasp lid. The glass container is real heavy and I believe it will break the instant it slips from the hands. Due to its large size it is not travel friendly. However the packaging is really attractive and compels the customer to buy it.

Ummm I know very little of the product is left in the jar and its literally about to end but I wanted to review it before it actually finished. So you may not be able to see the actual look of the product since its real deep down at the bottom.

This is how the scrub looks like. It contains natural sugar, argan oil, sacred lotus oil and sandalwood. The scrub itself is very grainy, has thick consistency (quite thick). However the sugar dissolves once its rubbed over the skin. Since the name suggests its a hot sugar scrub, when applied over the body it instantly gets warm. By warm I mean slightly warm, that too in a good way, the body feels good but not hot as the name suggests.  

Coming to my experience of this product I would say it is an excellent product. No doubt it is, it has also been nominated as one of the top ten body exfoliators by Marie Claire Magazine. I love the metal clasp lid and the glass jar, its the appearance of the product that tempted me to buy it, though the shopkeeper praised it like its some heavenly exfoliator. The consistency is real thick however, alot of product is required to exfoliate the whole body. So do not expect it to last long since you consume quite alot of the product while exfoliating. As soon as I rub it over the body it turns warm and feels like a scrub with thick granules but soon the sugar and other granules dissolve and it turns smooth and is not harsh at all. I exfoliate my body and then rinse it off. I need to rub it off my body as it takes time to be removed off the skin and if it is not properly removed it leaves the skin white as if cream has dried over the skin. So I rub off every inch of my body to remove it. It leaves the skin smooth, fresh and glowy. It smells great too. It has a strong scent to it which lasts for almost two hours after bath. I have tried it over my face as well and it went fine. I did not experience any redness or burning on my face and neither it broke me out. Since I have a dry skin it worked fine for me but I am not sure if it will work for oily skins. I would not recommend trying it over an acne prone face since the granules might be too harsh for the skin.

 

This exfoliator is a great for a luxurious sensuous bath and I rate it a 4.5/5 and highly recommend you to try it out if you want to treat yourself. It is reasonable priced at Rs. 500 and I purchased mine from Channel cosmetics store situated in Liberty Market. Hope you liked my review. Stay healthy and beautiful. Take care!
