I am into mascaras these days and trying different ones. This review was written way back but I am so slow in publishing at times. Its sometimes so hard to keep up. Winters are lethargic and I find myself struggling to write reviews. Nonetheless, I am hoping to post this one in one go. Benefit Better than sex mascara is popular globally for its amazing performance. Unfortunately I have not had the chance of trying it out as I am not really a mascara person. My barely there sparse lashes don't let me use mascaras much. Plus I am more of an eyeliner woman. But this has not stopped me from experimenting with mascaras and I do use them on special occasions.

My second Glam Bag by Luscious Glam is here and I am over the moon. As I was aware of some of the products I was due to get, I was very excited. There is a joy of getting high end products, then there is a joy of getting full sized products and finally there is a level of ecstasy receiving all high end full sized products. Yep, thats what I am saying. Read my post further to see what I am talking about.

Off and on I subscribe to Ipsy whenever I spot any Facebook store having it in stock. This happens to be my third Ipsy bag and so far I have not been disappointed with any of them. How many times have you been caught up in rave reviews and opted for a product just because everyone was chanting it to be THE product you had been looking for? I, for one have been a victim of this, countless times. These days I have been on the look out of good foundations as they are the  game changers of that canvas of yours, formally called the FACE. Upon this conquest I have had fair share of different foundations. Thankfully I have a relatively non problematic skin which offers me the opportunity to play around. I am back with another WTF post, which is a series I do when I experience a horrible product or equally bad customer service. I have always considered it my moral responsibility as a beauty blogger, to ensure that people do not get conned in the name of original makeup by getting fakes or copies and I have been trying to do this since the day I started this blog. We are all well aware of how quickly counterfeit cosmetics have sprung up, how easy it is to access them and, how many online stores are fooling people by taking hard earned cash under the pretense of selling originals. My today's post will reveal one such black sheep in the beauty market. I am doing my part and expect you to do yours by sharing this post as much as you can to save your friends from being cheated.

Here goes the story.... I was very thrilled about Yonique mascara set and had been seeing people selling them, reading rave reviews and watching you tube tutorials. Honestly as an avid shopper I try my best to get the best deals without compromising on the quality. The mascara price was quite high which always stopped me from buying it. The one day I came upon this new Facebook Makeup store selling the same mascara at an excellent price. I initiated conversation with her asking about originality which she ensured. Hence I placed order for the mascara in advance and received it after a month on COD. With much thanks on my part the conversation was closed. However I had this doubt somewhere in my heart that the mascara set was not original. Pushing away the feeling, I went on with my routine. Then the Kylie frenzy started and this page was offering an excellent price of Rs. 5500 for the Bronze palette. I placed an order with her again.

Cheers to discovery of another subscription service on my part. This one goes by the name of "Luscious Glam Bag" and is US based. I am so impressed with how Pakistan's beauty industry is evloving. We are all getting to experience constant improvement and better products day by day. Today, I am reviewing my fisrt Luscious Glam Bag for the month of August.

KARACHI: After two days of everything fashion, the third and final day of Fashion Pakistan Week Winter/Festive 2017 concluded in a burst of extravagant bridal couture by Sana Safinaz on Thursday, at the Global Marquees in Karachi. Earlier in the evening, the last six of the 18 designers put forward their most exquisite creations to set the trends and mark the must haves for the Winter/Festive season.

The glamorous evening began with the presence of renowned personalities such as Sarwat Gilani along with her husband, Fahad Mirza, Sharmila Farooqui and her mother, Anisa Farooqui, Adeel Chaudhry, Sana Javed, Sana Bucha, Sonya Hussayn and a few others from the world of Pakistani fashion and entertainment walked down a star-studded red carpet in dazzling dresses and dapper attire. The red carpet was hosted by Anoushey Ashraf, wearing a white lame Sana Safinaz peppered with roses and bows, giving everyone a sneak peak to the collection.

Tena Durrani commenced Day 3 of #FPW17, with a balanced and joyous collection followed by festive wear by Nauman Arfeen, Saira Shakira, Adnan Pardesy and the doyen Maheen Khan. Needless to say, each designer’s vision was complemented by make-up looks that accentuated the individual style ethos with great precision and detail. 

After the collection showcase, designers were found mingling with celebrities and other key media at the The LUX Premiere Lounge was the hub of all social inter mingling and press chatter. Its signature floral setting was extravagant in keeping with the bridal collections and you could barely hear yourself talk above the clamour for photos, selfies and repartee about each collection. Media and designers intermingled over savouries from Necos and desserts from Yum by Amna. The stunning art and décor for the Lux Lounge was done by Anisa and Amina Rasheed Khan of RAKA.

“With a strong designer line-up, artistically choreographed shows, ambient lightning and décor, the star-studded four-day Fashion Pakistan Week 2017, that started off with Shamaeel Ansari’s museum-esque opening, continued with 18 strong collections and came to a rousing end with the Sana Safinaz grand finale and I couldn’t be more proud. We wanted this year’s fashion affair to be grand and I think, it’s safe to say that we’re very pleased with the outcome,” said Feri Rawanian, the CEO of Fashion Pakistan Council.

KARACHI: The glitz and glam of Fashion Pakistan Week 2017 Winter/Festive continued on Wednesday, September 13^th at the Global Marquees in Karachi. With 12 designers remaining to showcase their latest semi-formal, formal and bridal collections, six of them displayed their stellar designs on Day 2 leaving fashion enthusiasts wanting more on the third and last day of the showing.

The glamorous evening began with the presence of renowned film and TV personalities such as director Asim Raza, political worker Sharmila Farooqi, actors Feroze Khan, Aly Khan with his lovely wife Chandni Saigol Khan, talk show host and designer HSY and a few others from the world of Pakistani fashion and entertainment walking down a star-studded red carpet hosted by the uber charismatic and sparkling Anoushey Ashraf. With Nabila and N-Pro in charge backstage the looks were modern when they had to be and traditionally beautiful for the mehendi and bridal collections.

“Those working behind the scenes know of the intense efforts that go into making the event flow seamlessly as it does. There’s much to expect from this year’s Fashion Pakistan Week Winter/Festive as it’s even grander than previous years with a line-up of many known and upcoming designers from across Pakistan showcasing their creativity in breath-taking ensembles while setting the perfect trends for the season,” said Deepak Perwani, Chairperson of Fashion Pakistan Council and himself a prominent Fashion Designer.

After the collection showcase, designers were found mingling with celebrities and other key media at the LUX Lounge that looked exquisite in its signature floral setting. The lounge was a perfect getaway for attendees who after absorbing fashion moved on to the lounge to please their tastebuds with savories from Necos and desserts by Yum by Amna. The stunning art and décor for the Lux Lounge was done by Anisa and Amina Rasheed Khan of RAKA.

Fragrances are integral to me. I do not step out of my house unless I have my roll on, body spray/mist and perfume sprayed on me. I don't overdo it to an extent where the silage makes people cringe but enough that it lasts good hours. When I received Oriflame's Fragrance Mist in Aimi, I was thrilled to try it. I barely have a set of eye lashes and I try my best to avoid using mascaras fearing my barely there lashes might disappear too. Back in July 2016 I had the displeasure of ordering the Ignite Box. What is an Ignite Box? Ignite Box is another subscription service that has sadly popped up in Pakistan. The owner happens to live in England and ships stuff to Pakistan. Along with running an online shop for custom orders, she started a sub service as well. To be honest I liked the contents of the box but the customer service is downright shitty, which is why I have never opted for this box again. Before I start of reviewing this book, I must mention, this book took me by surprise. I was expecting a book much similar to "Mrs. Funnybones" but fortunately, "The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad" turned out pretty different. This book comes out as a much better read and makes the author shine as a writer. It is in no way outstanding compared to the standard I had set for Mrs. Funnybones, however Twinkle's second book comes off as a whiff of fresh air.

Continuing my love for the subscription services, I came across February's Ipsy Glam Bag being sold at a Facebook store. I am not a die hard fan of Ipsy but I do believe that it provides access to brands which are not very known in Pakistan. The reason I opted for this month's Ipsy was solely the pouch. I love anything that is denim and this pouch being denim was something I wanted to get. Hence I ordered it and to know what came inside this bag, read my post further.

I have seen people going crazy over Pixi Glow Tonic. It seems to be all the rage these days. Apparently its some sort of a magic potion which is supposed to provide you a glowy skin. Initially I had no idea what it does and that is what made me google the product. It has mixed reviews which made me skeptical about purchasing it since a 100 ml bottle costs Rs. 2500. The results are variant depending upon skin types and some feel a difference after sometime and some don't. 

Quite recently, Makeup Revolution launched its sister brand by the name of Freedom Professional in Pakistan. The brand has existed for quite sometime internationally but recently introduced in Pakistan. How I used to drool over its products over the web and dream of getting them some day. I have always been very fascinated by its wide array of products and it always appealed to me as a professional grade brand but with a pocket friendly price tag. I wouldn't exactly call it a drug store brand solely based on the pricing, the quality and product creativity makes me think of it as a brand used by real professionals. Freedom Professional has a Glycolic radiance toner which is considered to be a dupe of Pixi Glow Tonic but with double the product and equally less the price. Glycolic Radiance Toner is what I shall be reviewing today in this post.

It seems the modern trend these days is, to get stuff from Ali Express and start selling it on exorbitant prices. Use the word "Imported" with your products and Boom! your sales are rocket high. Customer Services? What are those? Never heard of them, ever! Undeliberately it seems, it has become my mission number 1 to highlight my ridiculous shopping experiences, probably to vent and also to make others aware of what is going on around us, and how cautious we need to be. I understand that Pakistan is still a growing baby in the world of E-Commerce but now that we are in the booming stage, business ethics are not supposed to be a foreign concept, rather something (a behavior) ingrained. Let me narrate an interesting shopping experience of mine from a emerging online store which even got featured on Mangobaaz. Oh, did I mention another trend? Send a few things to digital media people like influencers and kaboom! good reviews enforced.

Your eyes land on a huge 10 kg TCS Red Box sitting smack in the center of the room waiting for you to open it. What would be your initial reaction? Mine was "OMG, OMG, OMG!!!" Then I left my room in all my excitement without opening the box seeking to find out when it came, how it came? Its good to be back again. This is my first post of the year 2017 and it goes to the brand "Bioderma" which happens to contain one of my most favorite product - Micellar water. I have been using Bioderma products for quite sometime now. Previously I was only familiar with their ever so famous Micellar water since its considered to be the holy grail makeup removing product and I agree. Since last year, I acquainted myself further with Bioderma as their range is available now in Lahore. I was very excited when I received an invite from Fourth Arc for Bioderma bloggers meet up session knowing that the brand is officially in Lahore now and is engaging bloggers.
