|Review|: Me Col Facial Mask in Strawberry

If you have been to Victoria Departmental Store in Lahore you would have an idea of the vast variety of different and unique products that store has. There is a long list of facial masks hanging around in their cosmetics section. Since I wanted to try something new as usual, I purchased this face mask as an experiment initially. Its a one time use mask with strawberry essence and comes in a plastic wraper weighing 35gms. Its dirt cheap and does not promise much.
My Experience:
In the words of Wicker Park "Things don't have to be extraordinary to be beautiful. Even the ordinary can be beautiful" Following this quote I picked up something which is simply plain and ordinary and dirt cheap, yet it has become a part of my weekly skin care routine. It was sent as a gift to a fellow blogger as well but I was thrashed for it being non branded and cheap item. Late but still I would review Me Col facial mask in strawberry. Read further to find out my experience with this product.

Here is how it looks like from the inside. The inside of the wrapper is plain silver plastic and wet and gooey. The mask is paper thin with eyes, nose and lips cut out for easy application.

I am sorry to use this analogy but seriously I could not think of anything more perfect to explain the goeey liquid of the mask. The liquid is transparent and gellish with a runny consistency and its very similar to a runny nose. Yes, I know its gross but this is how it is.

I had no expectations with this product, I just wanted to try it, out of curiosity. Initially when I applied it in Summers, I felt a cooling sensation on my skin and then it started to get a little warm. I did not understand a word of the foreign language written on the pack but thanks to the symbols which I interpreted as
1. Apply on clean face
2. Apply it for 15 - 20 minutes
3. Rinse with water
So I let it stay on my skin for 15 minutes and rinse with water. The mask leaves the gooey liquid on the face which needs to be washed off. After towel drying my face, I noticed my skin to be soft, hydrated and moisturized. I was not expecting a lasting result but the results last for like a week or so. The weather has now changed and its getting chilly day by day. My skin has gone dry and I have got dry patches around my nose and under my eyes. I recently used this mask and my dry patches have disappeared. My skin is moisturized and soft n smooth.
My cousin, who has an oily skin unlike mine also used this mask and it worked for her as well. The mask does not promise any whitening, clearing or acnr free skin, it just cleanses and hydrates the skin. I find it perfect for Winters for moisturizing and hydrating purposes. I use the mask once every week. Its available in other variants as well like in Grapes, Apples and Banana.
Its kind of cool and amazing that some times the unrecognized, non branded items tend to achieve results which you don't even expect and then suddenly Bang!!! you have something positive that you were not even expecting in the first place.

The discreption of *goeeyness* is not good but yes Ur experience with this sounds great, nice and affordable find I must say.
