By now you know Essence has a vast range of products and a large variety in nail colors. When their new collection was launched and announced on Facebook I rushed to Raja Sahib to get my hands on the new stuff. However the nail shade I am reviewing today, I purchased it from Shoppe which is next to Raja Sahib's Liberty Market outlet. Read further to find out more about this nail color. 

Essence color & go nail polish comes in a 8 ml glass bottle with a curvy applicator screw cap. Prom Berry in # 148 is a dark warm purple shade which is perfect for Winter season. The nail color has a blue shimmer in it which is hardly noticeable or visible. The shimmer only glows in sunlight or specific light angles. 

Application is nice and easy as the applicator is curvy which provides a better grip of the brush. Moreover the brush is thick which provides greater coverage over the nails. 

The consistency of the nail polish is on the thicker side which is a plus for me since I do not prefer very sheer or dripping nail polishes. But thick consistency means cautious application if the brush picks up heavy color and an uneven application takes more time to dry. However this nail polish dries in almost 5 - 10 minutes. 

The nail polish can last for a week with a little tip tear but that can be avoided if a top coat is applied. The nail polish itself is quite shiny and has a good glow to it. But a top coat may add even more shine like a gel look. 

The look you see above has been achieved by application of two coats only. As you can see, the result is an opaque warm dark nail color with no streaky finish.
