|Empties|: June Skincare and Haircare Empties

5:54 PM

June flew by, and with it, I managed to empty quite a few of my favorite beauty and skincare products. From hair care to body care, here’s a roundup of everything I used up and my thoughts on each one. Let's dive in!

Empties - June 2024

1. Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Cream

This leave-in conditioner has been a staple in my hair care routine for months. It tames frizz, adds shine, and keeps my hair feeling silky smooth. The formula is lightweight yet effective, making it perfect for daily use. I'll definitely be repurchasing this one!

2. Nexton Baby Wash

The baby wash is for my kids but I am guilty of using it from time to time. I am using this as a substitute for Johnson's due to the boycott. Nexton is a good brand for baby toiletries however their shampoos and washes do burn the eyes. This is an area of improvement the brand needs to work upon.

3. Charm Natural Dry Body Oil

I loved using this body oil after showering. It absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling nourished and hydrated. The subtle scent was also a plus.

4. Garnier Fructis Hydrating Treat Shampoo

This was a below average and over priced product in my opinion. I fell for the packaging design but the product was very disappointing. I expected some sort of result for my hair, like smoother or shinier hair or manageable frizz but it did nothing for my hair.

5. Lacoste Pink Perfume

This fragrance has been my go-to scent for its fresh, floral notes. It’s light and feminine, perfect for everyday wear. The bottle is also super chic, making it a lovely addition to my perfume collection. I’m already missing its sweet aroma!

6. Mana Beauty Brilliance Bounce Shampoo

I have reviewed this shampoo already. Apart from being organic and vegan, this shampoo acts an excellent color protector and also provides volume to the hair. As someone with dyed hair, I can not praise this product enough.

7. Frmesi Framcolor Bold in Cobalt Blue

These hair colors have always had limited availability so I always used to stock them. In between I did not dye my hair in bold colors for 2 years. This brand is the closest substitute available in Pakistan to Arctic Fox. However Framcolor's been rebranded and the packaging has changed completely. I haven't tried on the new one so not sure if its the same or there has been a change in the formulation too. I redid my hair last year and used cobalt blue recently after the baby which is a beautiful bright blue color.

8. Selsun Anti-dandruff Shampoo

This doen't even need an explanation at this point. Selsun is with me for life due to my scalp condition. I use selsun alternatively between washes.

9. Bio Balance Cracked Heel and Foot Balm

Another product I reviewed long back, and a product that actually delivered results. But then the importer thought to copy the formula and come up with a cheaper substitute by the name of Saniderm which is a dud. I miss Bio Balance cracked heel and foot balm. This product needs to come back. It works so well for chapped heels and feet with marks.

10. Glow Recipe Banana Souffle Moisture Cream

This moisturizer was perfect for my combination skin. It provided just the right amount of hydration without making my skin feel greasy. The banana scent was delightful!

Hope you liked the quick overview of the products I emptied in the month of June. Let me know if you have used any of these products. How was your experience? Stay healthy and beautiful. xoxo!!!
