A new rave has recently hit the Pakistani beauty blogosphere with the launch of new ultra moisturizing matt lipsticks by Color Studio Professional. I also luckily got a chance to try these lipsticks at Al Fatah during my random shopping tour. I had no idea these have hit the stores already. My inner beauty godess was so pleased when I laid my eyes on these lipsticks. Read further to find out more about these lipsticks... 

Color studio pure matt lipsticks are available in 28 different shades and what I liked the most about this matt range is, mostly the colors are bright and bold. They look so vibrant and loud, you can spot them from afar. 

Starting off with the packaging, the lipstick comes in a black cardboard matt box, what is different about the lipstick is, other than usual lipstick packaging, this one comes in a slider cardboard box. You don't have to open the flip to take the lipstick out rather you just slide the base and voila, there is your lipstick. I liked this new packaging idea by Color Studio. The lipstick itself comes in a black platic body. The tube seems to be sturdy, I haven't tried deliberately throwing it to check its sturdiness :p but it does look solid enough. The lipstick tube is square with a gold inner tube that gives it a classy and expensive look, hard to miss it. 

"The high performance lipstick formula is fused with a blend of bamboo extract, shea butter and vitamin E. The unique shea butter moisture complex provides a creamy, non-drying, long lasting color to indulge the lips. The velvety smooth texture enriched with bamboo extract provides an emolliment and soothing action to protect and hydrate the lips. Vitamin E eases the application of the lipstick by providing anti-aging and anti radical action for smooth and supple lips." 

I forgot to swatch the lipstick on my hand for review purposes, was so excited to review it. So you can see the color that appears on my lips. 

Here is the important part, my personal experience with the lipstick, testing whether it lives upto its claims or not. I must say, I totally loved this range. The variety of colors is just amazing. The range includes quite a lot of bold and vivid colors that look super pigmented. Upon testing these lipsticks I had no doubts left about their pigmentation. These lipsticks are undoubtedly highly pigmented. The lipstick also lives upto the claim that its matte. However I differ with the hydrating part, it isn't very moisturizing or hydrating. I would recommend applying a lip balm or something before the application of this lipstick as it tends to dry out the lips and also highlights the fine lines of the lips. Exfolited lips would be a plus as I noticed drying effect on my lips. The lipstick requires a little effort to be put on the lips. It isn't very smooth and does not glide when it comes to application. You may have to sweep it twice or thrice to have the full on effect of the color.

Coming to the lasting power of the lipstick, it surely lasts long. It lasted on me for straight 8 hours without drinking or eating anything. However it tends to fade a little after 4 to 5 hours but none the less stays put for quite some time. 

Backstage is a bright orange coral color. I wasn't into bold, bright lip colors but thanks to Ayesha and her awesome photography skills that motivated me to experiment with bold colors. This summer I am all about bold lip shades. You can spot me easily anywhere with me flashing my lips :p I have swiped backstage only twice which isn't making it very bright rather just giving the right amount of pigmentation to my lips. This is a new and different color for me and I am totally rocking it these days.
