Arrrghhh!!! I am having my laziness fits again. I was quite active in the month of January with regular posts on my blog and frequent updates on my Facebook page. I have gone all lazy and lethargic this month. This is just so bad. Internet is such a big distraction. I should definitely write posts without connecting to the internet. Anyhow, I am starting off by reviewing something simple and easy to post. Winters are still prevailing in my part of the region so I have the perfect nail polish to review for you. 

Recently introduced in Pakistan, has been Essence's Home Sweet Home collection which is the perfect makeup collection for Winters. The dark reds and plums look absolutely gorgeous in Winters which happen to be the main highlight of Home sweet home trend. Moreover the wool knitted design of blush ons and eye shades is to die for. In fact that is what originally tempted me to opt for the collection. To see my haul for this collection click here.

Anyhow moving on to the review lets talk about the product in hand. 

Packaging:

There happen to be four different nail color shades in Home sweet home collection. Hot Fruit Punch is #03 and is a plum red shade. Its neither fully plum not red but somewhere in between. It comes in a standard glass nail polish bottle with 8 ml content. The applicator brush is pretty standard nothing extra ordinary. 

Texture & Pigmentation:

The texture of the nail polish is not very gel like as per Essence's claim. It does not give the appearance of a gel like shine over the nails unlike many other Essence nail polish which give a diamond like finish. Consistency of the nail polish is a little thick which is just how I prefer it to be. Its not runny which means it might get thick and gooey so utilize it fast. Color pay off is good. Two coats pretty much cover the nails. 

Lasting Power:

I am quite disappointed with the lasting power of the nail polish. It survives just a day or two and begins to chip off immediately from the tips. A top coat is an absolute must for this nail polish. The good part is, the nail polish dries pretty fast once applied which is an absolute plus feature for me.
