As another year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the countless products that have made their way through my daily routine. From skincare staples to makeup must-haves, each empty container tells a story of its own.  I embarked on a journey of mindful consumption and conscious purchasing, aiming to strike a balance between indulgence and restraint. These are the products I finished in 2023, totaling 119 items. Some had been partially used and overlooked as new products took their place. Throughout the year, I purchased essentials like shampoos, conditioners, and nose strips, while most makeup products came from my existing stash, except for kajals and eye liners. As someone who has grappled with saving money and impulse buying, the "Empties Project" has been instrumental in curbing those tendencies. It has helped me monitor my purchases, consumption, and impulsive tendencies. I intend to continue this project into 2024 to keep myself accountable and ahead of my habits.
