|Empties|: August 2024 Beauty, Skincare Staples & Self-Care Favorites

11:32 AM

There’s something so satisfying about finishing a product—especially when it’s one that truly works! This month, my empties list includes skincare must-haves, self-care essentials, and a few samples that left a lasting impression. Let’s dive into what I used up in August 2024 and whether these products are worth repurchasing!

August 2024 empties
1. Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water

An all-time favorite! This gentle yet effective micellar water removes makeup like a dream without irritating the skin. Definitely a forever repurchase. This is most likely my 5th bottle.

2. The Healing Garden Lavender Therapy Relaxation Body Mist

A calming mist that became my go-to for everyday use. The lavender scent was soothing, and I’m already looking for my next bottle!

3. Dettol

A hygiene essential! Not the most glamorous product, but an absolute necessity in any household.

4. Tea Tree Essential Oil

A staple in my skincare routine! I used this for spot treatments and even added a few drops to my shampoo for scalp care. Moreover it also acts as a bug repellent, itch soother and even ring worm treatment. Always a must-have. One product and endless uses.

5. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

Loved the hydration boost this gave my skin! The lightweight gel formula was perfect for summer and winter nights, and my skin felt fresh and plump in the morning.

6. Laura Mercier Setting Powder (Sample Size)

Finally finished this mini! It’s a cult-favorite for a reason—mattifies without looking cakey. Before opening my full sized one, I wanted to check if the hype was real, safe to say, its famous for a reason. Worked quite well.

7. Tea Tree Facial Cleansing Wipes

These were refreshing and great for quick cleansing, especially after a long day. Not an essential for me, but handy to have around.

8. Essence Eyeliner Pen Extra Long-Lasting Liner

Super affordable and easy to apply, but it dried out a little quicker than I expected and also was not as pigmented as i expected it to be.

9. Revlon Emery Board (Travel Size)

A convenient nail file for on-the-go touch-ups. Served its purpose well, but nothing extraordinary.

10. Romimiu 100% Cotton Pads

Soft, lint-free, and great for toners and micellar water. A simple but essential product in my routine!

11. Oh My Lash Eyelash Growth Serum

I wasn’t expecting miracles, but this did help strengthen my lashes. Still unsure if it’s worth a repurchase, though.

12. Miniso Eyebrow Tinkle Razor

Super sharp and effective! Great for quick touch-ups.

13. Kajal Pencil

A good everyday kajal that did the job. It wasn’t as long-lasting as I’d like, so I might try a different one next time.

Final Thoughts:

I did try out some amazing and hype worthy products this month. Some, like the Bioderma Micellar Water and Tea Tree Oil, remain must-haves, while others, like the Glow Recipe mask, were fun to try but not necessarily repurchases. Looking forward to seeing what I finish next month! Stay healthy and beautiful. xoxo!!!
